I was born in New York City, where I lived for a few years on W92nd Street, although I remember only snippets, such as enduring the Mumps! My Dad got a job in Nutley, NJ, so we lived in the shadow of the ITT tower briefly. I spent my childhood in Midland Park, NJ. I graduated from High School there, and did my growing up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in the late '70's. I Earned my BSEE from Columbia University, and later, my MSEE from Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck. I worked as an Electronics Design Engineer for a small Medical Imaging equipment manufacturer for a number of years, until it was swallowed by a multinational Foreign conglomorate. I parted ways by way of a layoff after 19 years of service. I started a small Imaging Equipment manufacturing company, which lasted for a number of years, but ultimately fell victim to offshore sourcing in the motion picture industry. Since then, I have worked for several manufacturing companies. I am happily married to a lovely young lady, and am also owned by 7 cats, living in scenic Jackson, NJ.
For the second instance in my lifetime, we have suffered an ignominious defeat at the hands of an unwashed rabble. In the first instance I recall South Vietnamese, most of whom we had used to our own purposes, and were about to abandon, clutching at the struts of […]
The last four years have been a learning experience for most of us. I watched the Watergate hearings in 1973. I read the tape transcripts in The New York Times – when it was still a newspaper worthy of reading. I recall my parent’s horror at the language […]
It has become more apparent of late, than ever in our history, that the folks in Washington DC, have forgotten who they work for. As an American taxpayer, and householder of many more years than I wish to admit, I really want to learn the economic breakthrough that […]
I haven’t written an editorial thus far. My childhood friend, Torchlight founder, and co-editor, Anthony Rizutto, who I sorely miss on these pages, would have easily written volumes in these past few days. My wife asked me how I felt after the DC goings on. Appalled. I had […]
I find myself wondering just that of late. What of Hollywood? That theory has sadly been proven again and again. But what else are we to expect from the “artsy fartsy” crowd? They have been in virtual lockstep with Lenin’s experiment since Edison’s “Great Train Robbery”. And what […]
My wife and I were talking this morning (yes, a good thing!). Sanders, Yang, Occasio-Cortez, came up in discussion. Her comment? “How stupid can people be?” You give enough free stuff to people who don’t work, the stuff that isn’t free becomes much more expensive. People who used […]
It is with great regret and sadness that I am forced to report the death of my old friend, and Torchlight co-Editor, Anthony Robert Rizutto.
Who’s got the beer and popcorn? And if we’re real lucky, Attorney General Barr will preside over an equally old fashioned hanging of the guilty conspiritors once the main show is over. In this great nation of our’s, we have reduced ourselves into factions of Conservatives on one […]
Congress seems to be intent on wasting The People’s time with Impeachment, yet more Gun control, an emergency shutdown recall, legalizing Pot, and justifying Infanticide. GET REAL ALREADY! Barring a disaster of biblical proportions, Trump is likely to win reelection in 2020. After which, in 2024, Mike Pence […]
This was written by my wife Bian who immigrated from Vietnam in 2016. Since I was a child and able to understand such things, I would feel upset everytime I saw a homeless person on the street. Usually it was an old man or a small child like […]
