Today we honor the brave men and women across the centuries who gave their lives in the cause of Freedom.

From the “Minutemen” and the “Continental Regulars” of the American Revolution, to the “Doughboys” of World War One, the “Tuskegee Airmen” of World War Two, the Heroes of “Pork Chop Hill” the unsung of Vietnam, and our brave volunteers who comprise our modern Military. Today we honor and remember their sacrifice. Without it, much that we take for granted would not exist.

So while you’re enjoying that backyard BBQ with your family and friends take a moment silently or otherwise to thank them for the ability to celebrate without fear in a Nation that remains, in the words of Abraham Lincoln, “The last best hope of Earth!”
